A Walk in the Park

OUR DOG FRIENDLY PARK

A walk in the park is a peaceful idea...evoking Monet paintings...when used as an idiomatic expression it conveys an unexpectedly easy activity...for an official definition...see link

LIAM ON THE SIGN!
Our place for a walk in the park is across the street-Town of North Hempstead's Tully Park.

                                                           DOGS ARE WELCOME

Liam and I go in regularly. But our walk is more like a Van Gogh, a twirly trip...
a walk on the wild side
Come with us...here we go!
zig,
zag
up
down
spin
stop
"Hey Liam, wait up"
LIAM
squirrels
rabbits
geese

Our house
second in
no longer on the outside
looking in
try to get a shot of Liam looking
not
only his tail makes it in the
shot

OUR HOUSE, LIAM'S TAIL IN CENTER POINTS TO IT
We discover a lake! A high fence keeping us away...down far below...a gift on our journey

A LAKE? RESERVOIR?
we are told it is a sump...water pooling at a lower level...a sump is?
It has waves and a shore and a path to its beach strewn with evidence of off hours partying...appealing detritus for Liam.
SUMP VIEW, LIAM'S LEVEL

We look at our map (see screenshot following) to find out sump's name or verification it is a sump. Nothing annotated. Yet its blue is the hue of our photo and exactly where we come upon it on our walk on the northern perimeter of the green patch, our Park.
trees
birds
sun
shadows
and the tree trunks
hundreds of scents
COME ON MOM,  LET'S GO
whew...
we both are wiped after our walk in the park

and it is done. Pausing to reflect
LIAM DREAMING OF THE NEXT TIME
BACK HOME WE GO
Woof, Woof
