Blinds to Go

LIAM WITH HIS WINDOW TREATMENT

I have appreciated the concept of the Blinds to Go company. I am assuming the name means that you can easily and quickly get your blinds. Here is the link http://www.blindstogo.com/en/
Sort of like a complete meal from a food truck. Conversely maybe it might also mean the need on the part of the buyer...blinds to go...damaged, discolored, fragile, dated...blinds must go. And that is where we are at in our home. Liam has accelerated the "blinds to go" process.
As a first time dog parent I did not know that by adopting Liam we had put our blinds in jeopardy. I don't remember when the first slat was broken or when we began rotating the blinds. Moving the intact ones to the windows of the Liam damaged ones. We are now at a point where several windows do not have blinds or coverings. Here is a photo of an upstairs room where rotated blinds weakened and collapsed, necessitating their removal. You will notice that Liam has a good spot now for bird and squirrel watching.

And there no longer are any intact blinds to hang to replace the broken ones. So we pull them up to try to camouflage the lower broken slats.
BROKEN BY PAWS
I searched online for the best window treatments (that's the term) for dog populated homes. Here is a link

Seems roll up shades are it. I did enjoy the commiserating comments about the dog-damaged blinds. There were a few comments from non-dog owners suggesting that the dog parents train their dogs to leave the blinds alone or crate them when they are not home. Yes, Really! Those in dog-less homes thought our dogs should be caged to preserve the blinds. These comments were ignored.
So what do we dog owners do?
Replace the broken blinds with a better window treatment. And it will be all of the windows. We have two neighborhood places in mind.
We will require more than a quick food truck stop for our windows, so no Blinds to Go. Think full service restaurant and a private chef.
And these two neighborhood stores appear to cater to rescuing people like us. And they say they will come and do all the work...since they are in the 'hood we are inclined to trust them. We need extensive help. There are now too many painted over brackets and leftover hardware for amateurs to contend with. We already have two sets of new blinds we were unable, okay, unwilling to attempt to hang.
In the photos below, you can see Liam has access to almost every window. If we hear barking most likely Liam is near a window interacting with the outside world, waiting to be caught at his latest window mistreatment.

A QUICK GETAWAY
Liam rests on the new Monet waterfall rug. That's its name. There are no blinds left to break. Dreaming of the new window treatments.
